Sunny Cherry Mango Smoothie

I had some leftover mango in the freezer along with delicious fresh cherries. On top of that, a tray of freshly sprouted sunflower shoots was smiling at me. Why not combine them all?

This was such a pleasant change and W and I enjoyed it a lot! Remember this is just a suggestion. Please feel free to make any changes, depending upon what you have available at home.

I love to make water kefir and have grains available if anyone is interested. Just click HERE for more information. If you don't have water kefir, see Tips below.

Sunny Cherry Mango Smoothie Ingredients
3 cups water kefir(2nd ferment) - or almond milk
3 champagne mangoes, frozen and chopped
2 bananas, preferably frozen
10-15 cherries, pitted and coarsely chopped
3 medjool dates, pitted
2 Tablespoons coconut cream/butter
3 Tablespoons chia seeds (preferably white)
2 handfuls sunflower shoots (or your favorite greens)
1/4 cup fresh parsley
4 drops Mango extract (by Medicine Flower - optional)
3 drops Black Cherry extract (by Medicine Flower - optional)

Directions
Blend water kefir, mangoes, bananas, cherries and dates until creamy.

Blend in coconut cream and chia seeds.

Add sunflower shoots and remaining ingredients, along with ice cubes and blend until creamy.

Tips
Extracts are optional, but add a concentration of flavor that will enhance the smoothie.Medicine Flower extracts are super concentrated, so even using fresh fruit, you won't get the POW of flavor like you do when adding them.

Try Mango Almond Milk instead of Water Kefir for a rich, creamy consistency.
