Basic Marinara Sauce

This Marinara Sauce can be used on zucchini noodles, kelp noodles, pizza, veggies, meatloaf, etc. It's really quick and simple to prepare. Feel free to doctor it up with whatever spices you prefer!!! Make it zippy or mild.

Basic Marinara Sauce:
2 cups tomatoes, chopped
1/2 cup sun-dried tomatoes, soaked and chopped
1/2 avocado(optional)
2 Tbsp fresh parsley, coarsely chopped
2 Tbsp fresh basil, chopped
1 clove garlic, crushed
1 Tbsp olive oil
1 Medjool date, soaked and chopped
2 Tbsp red onion, chopped
1/4 red bell pepper, chopped
pinch of sea salt
pinch of cayenne pepper
1/4 tsp oregano (and whatever other spices you like)

Mix in blender or food processor until creamy. Store in refrigerator for 2-3 days.
