I've been looking for a good raw veggie burger and bun, so I gave Ani Phyo's Sun Burger and Black Sesame Sunflower Bread a try. I've read a lot of positive comments on this burger and people seem to like the bread a lot too.
They were certainly easy to make, and I think they were both fairly tasty. Neither were my all time favorite. I do have two of Ani's books, and have enjoyed many of her recipes, but I need to work on modifying this one, or creating a new one. Other people really enjoy both of these, so see for yourself.
I doctored the burger and bread up with avocado slices, red onion, lettuce and Ani's Sun Dried Tomato Catsup. My honey, W, seemed to enjoy it very much. I also left a few slices of bread in the dehydrator another hour to get crispy like crackers, but I'm just not loving the flavor on this bread. Maybe it's all the flax seeds, which I'm not wild about. I figured I'd share the experience with you. You may like them...Let me know what you think. I flipped the bread over earlier and it only took about 4 hours in the dehydrator, total.
The burger recipe is posted HERE and the bread, HERE.

Good Golly that looks fantastic! Great photos- I want one right now. Thank you for the recipes.
You are very welcome kevin. Enjoy!
I made Ani's burgers last week! I was so surprised at how easy it was! 15 min to get them in the dehydrator! My kind of recipe! :)
They are quick..I just need to find a little different combo. I didn't care for the texture so much of either the bread or the burger. I'll have to do more experimenting and will keep you posted. Glad you enjoyed them!!
