Coco -Green Hazelnut Happiness

Such HAZEL-nutty goodness packed into a few drops! Quick and easy and lots of greens!

Lots and lots and lots of the most beautiful dandelion greens. I know you're supposed to make a smoothie by putting soft fruits and water in the blender first. Shame on me! I've always done it the opposite way, and I'm sure the Green Smoothie Gods that be are pointing their giant green fingers at me now. So be it! I like to live on the wild side! Maybe it's a control thing - I like to see how many greens I can pack into my blender BEFORE adding anything else.

So, I FILLED my blender with the most outrageous dandelion greens I've ever seen. W picked these up at Whole Foods. They are locally grown and were .99 for the entire bunch (about 2 lbs). SERIOUSLY! Look how beautiful they are!!! To think of all the years I spent digging them out of the lawn and tossing them! These are amazing!

 Coco-Green Hazelnut Happiness
dandelion greens, as many as you can fit
1 cup water
1 young coconut (water and meat - or add more water)
1 frozen banana (or equal amount frozen papaya)
1 Tbsp ground flax seeds
1 Tbsp chia seeds
2 Tbsp hemp seeds
1 heaping Tbsp almond butter
1 tsp lucuma powder (optional, but sweetens nicely)
1 tsp mesquite powder (helps stabilize sugar and suppress appetite)
3-4  drops Medicine Flower Hazelnut Extract (or 1 tsp of your favorite Hazelnut extract)
ice

BLEND and ENJOY!

All I can say is, YUuuuumMmmmmm!

  1. I made a juice with dandelion greens once and used too many...it was so bitter and left an awful taste in my mouth!! I have been scared to try them ever since!!

  2. Awww. I use them in my smoothies all the time..that or kale... Usually the smoothie flavor covers up anybitterness...so that has not been a problem...give it a try..just start easy..you can always add more...
